Elon Musk has always been a piece of shit and always will be. Next. I will never purchase and products from any companies he owns or is involved in. Literal enemy of Canada.

This will be a perfect time to revamp the terrorism and money laundering legislation in Canada to deal with these fundraising sites, cryptocurrencies and right wing grifters.

Growing evidence Elon Musk is the biggest financial contributer to the truck drivers.
He is supposedly their biggest dog whistling spokesman.

What would Elons motivation be?

In the past Elon had basically admitted to helping coup a governement in bolivia for cheaper lithium.

Sowing chaos and discord for profit, same as Trump's was, really. He's been a nuisance all throughout the pandemic, so I shouldn't be surprised. I no longer trust any form of "innovation" from him, and the scientist are likely correct when questioning his ethics on neural link. Not something I'd want from someone with his track record and lack of empathy. It's why the "great man" theory of history was always flawed or just outright bullshit.

Ottawa declares state of emergency as Canada trucker protest paralyses city

https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/ ... lyses-city

The mayor of Canada’s capital declared a state of emergency Sunday and a former US ambassador to Canada said groups in the US must stop interfering in the domestic affairs of America’s neighbour as protesters opposed to Covid-19 restrictions continued to paralyse Ottawa’s downtown.

The mayor, Jim Watson, said the declaration highlights the need for support from other jurisdictions and levels of government. It gives the city some additional powers around procurement and how it delivers services, which could help purchase equipment required by frontline workers and first responders.

Thousands of protesters descended on Ottawa again on the weekend, joining a hundred who remained since last weekend. Residents of Ottawa are furious at the nonstop blaring of horns, traffic disruption and harassment and fear no end is in sight after the police chief called it a “siege” that he could not manage.

There should be some serious repercussions here against American officials who are supporting this nonsense, and potentially a downgrading of diplomatic ties, and potentially expelling the American ambassador... On top of this the federal government should empower it's financial money laundering laws to deal with the sources of this financing on crowdfunding platforms or get the banks to seize the funds. I would like to see Canada launch a strict crackdown on American social media firms.

On the other hand, there is no reason the protest here should've gone on as long as it has. The Ottawa Police Service is now fatally damaged, it's time their leader Sloly and the mayor of Ottawa Watson are removed by the Ontario provincial government and resources are put in to restore order. There should be serious discussion on the future of policing in the capital and whether Ottawa should be it's own National Capital Region with a more appropriate local representative body that is responsible for security beyond just a municipality.

BREAKING NEWS: The Ottawa police have finally grown some balls and moved in on the protest. Fuel tanks seized and trucks being impounded by the dozens.

I would like to as well, is there a good chance the Liberal Party's Bill C-11 (Internet Regulatory Act) will do exactly that? The previous C-10 Bill proved controversial for supposed censorship, but it's pretty clear there at least needs to be a leveled playing field for Canadian content vs American influence, especially when said influence has proven to be often toxic.
