It's time for a 6th paradigm in computing. We've been stuck in the 5th too long, and the slowing curve is sort of manifestation of that.

Actually we surpassed it this year with the Japan supercomputer and last year Folding@home reached 2 Exaflops of performance!

He meant the range (or distribution curve, if you will) where nearly all supercomputers still fall in the petaflop category.
To know is essentially the same as to not to know. The only thing that occurs is entropy.

That's a different measure, though, from what I understand. Not "true" exaFLOPS.

So I've been Googling around as I research my next timeline prediction, and I discovered two additional levels that surpass yottaflops!

The sequence goes like this:

Exaflops
Zettaflops
Yottaflops
Brontoflops
Geoflops
