What I've been wondering for years, is why people who advocate for transsexualism are so binary in that regard.

It's not like the so called "cisgender" people are 100% satisfied with their bodies. Every person I asked that question replied that they are not fully satisfied with their bodies. Vast majority of all people on Earth aren't fully satisfied with bodies they currently have. It's more of a scale from 0 to 1000, than simply 0 or 1. Everyone is dissatisfied to some degree.
Global economy doubles in product every 15-20 years. Computer performance at a constant price doubles nowadays every 4 years on average. Livestock-as-food will globally stop being a thing by ~2050 (precision fermentation and more). Human stupidity, pride and depravity are the biggest problems of our world.

It's the change from "literally suicidal" to "vastly improved mental health" that is the issue here.

Exactly,

Transgenderism is a biological reality that a few percent of the population has to live with based on dozens of research papers in science. Confirmed by real science, confirmed by brainscans and confirmed by results of the therapy. Some people have the brain set up of the opposite sex and so trying to force them to live a certain way or to rob them of the hormones that they need to feel themselves is likely to end up in death.

The republican solution is to use religion to force people and doing so will result in death and suffering.
