Scientists finally created a 2D Supersolid! There existence has been predicted since the 60’s and now we have them. The scientists who created it don’t really know what it could be used for as it’s so much in the infancy stages, it’s practically a zygote. As an aspiring futurist, I was wondering if anyone had ideas on what a supersolid material could be utilized for. Here is a link to an article explaining what it is.

Very interesting, though I have no clue what supersolids could be used for.

I'll bet if someone figures out an use for it, it will turn the world upside down, bringing the sci-fi into the realm of possibility. Maybe even stranger than that.funkervogt wrote: ↑Tue Aug 31, 2021 2:13 pm Very interesting, though I have no clue what supersolids could be used for.
To know is essentially the same as not knowing. The only thing that occurs is the rearrangement of atoms in your brain.

If I am not mistaken, a supersolid is some sort of condensed super-matter with quantum-related properties right?
