I learned about this years ago, possibly before I even found Futuretimeline, and it always seems to drop off the radar and be hard to find anything about it. So I'm hoping that is a good place to keep it afloat as a thing to watch.

This is one of those things that I can recall thinking this was Star Trek Tech we were seeing happen, along with hypospray and tricorders. and it along with those others are also a bit like my version of the flying car. Like we know it's possible, it's been demonstrated, so why is it nobody knows about it and it's filed away in the back of the internet and never discussed or seen as being as amazing as it is.
