While that promise was motivated by fears of the Soviet Union winning the Space Race, the future depicted is mostly optimistic. Technology holds the promise of a better world.
Among the whimsical technology imagined are flying cars, robot maids, video calls, smartwatches, food printing and space tourism.
Futurologists didn’t start enthusing about the prospects of remote working until the 1970s.

Unless we have at a minimum superconductivity this future is impossible. Sure we could have a small number of small car sized planes that could possibly drive on the street but they will be highly regulated. Maybe a few jet packs too but unless we develop a source of energy that is far longer lasting and powerful then that is doubtful to be normal or common within society.
At this point this future is at least 100 years into the future or more. Also why would such structures be built? Unless something fucked happenings to the lower mile of our atmosphere. lol I could see buildings miles tall within the next few decades certainly but there's a lot that doesn't make sense.

Sure, it got a lot right when we're talking smart phones, tablets, and video calls but the rich are far too controlling to allow remote work from home to become the norm. That would mean that the worker is their equal and assholes like elon fucking musk doesn't like that!
