I would. I think he is about the only Republican I think I could vote for.

Not sure. Maybe.
He's pretty high up on the billionaire tier list IMO, but that's a low bar.
He'd probably make a better candidate than 95-99% of Republican politicians, and plenty of Democrats.
I'm just a bird who escapes his cage to post here sometimes.

Why must computer guys be conservative? I never saw that making any sense and at least for myself refuse it.

Nope. Gates is 67 years old. After suffering through Trump's presidency and then recently watching Biden in a press conference recently I decided that I will no longer vote for obnoxiously old people to be president any more.

I just don't seriously believe people this old are up to the task of the world's most demanding job. They are being led around the nose by their advisors to rubber stamp other people's policy agendas. In my mind the USA has basically existed without a real president ever since 2017, and that can't be allowed to continue any more.
