Depends on where you are.
Asia. China? Probably star trek like technosocialism that has a.i robotics providing everything for everyone....Robots in everyones home and a complete end to wage slavery. Japan and south Korea frankly could get into this at some level.
I could see the above spread at some level into the middle east, southeastern asia and even africa. Third world countries very well could build entire armies of robots. Such countries could easily be militarily stronger then the United states and most of Europe within the next 20-40 years. Ukraine is a good example of what I am saying. China may help Iran or South Africa or Nigeria become extremely powerful. We could very well see driverless cars become the basic mode of transport in most of the world as china will be the main driver of electric driverless cars. Along with robotics do pretty much everything in the middle east, South Asia and Africa. Any nation that doesn't fall for the Amish over regulation will be rewarded by unimaginable progress.
America, canada and europe? We will likely see something between loserterianism, fascism and ludditism at some level. Probably a dark age for much of Europe. America? depends who wins the next 5-10 years.
-Europe? They're going to most likely regulate and slow down any economic transition. The old system will be very slow to go away in europe and the forcing China is going to do to most of the developing world won't happen here. Sadly, parts of europe could very well go backwards as bans on smart phones for children take effect as it is for the children en shit!!! These children grow up being less able to use tech and europe falls backwards.

You almost have to root for Elon musk and vote republican at this point. The left has completely fucking shot themselves in the throat and sided against science and tech.
The thing is I think militarily America will continue to invest in a.i and tech. Our tech industry is a lot stronger then europes so possibly it could defeat the morons and maybe in the future we could elect a president that will be more favorable to chinese tech. Lets be dead honest...China is the leader in tech and will be in the next 20-50 years. If we wish to be able to complete we have to learn to copy it and sell it in our country. It depends on how powerful the luddites are. A coin toss at this point. IF the democrats come to power and do what the Eu is doing then we'll likely become weaker then a lot of the developing countries and will fall far beneath the rest of the world. Such a future opens us up to conquest from China and nations that build massive robotic armies. Idiocy will pay greatly in the future.
What sucks the most about what Elon musk has done is he has taken the momentum from the left when it comes to tech,science and education and put it into the hands of the right. In a world he hadn't done this it is very likely the left would control twitter and would still have the vast majority of the tech industry at this time. This is why lgbt are probably fucked in most of the united states as corporate America because of what he did has been forced to turn against it. This also means elons, trumps and loserrterianism has broken the back of the left in many ways in the mode of being pro-education, science and tech...Lets be honest, space travel is a good thing right? Investing in factories, tech and progress is a good thing, right? Well, because of what Elon has done the vast majority of the left will probably side with the effin Amish as they attack the tech and corporate America for what Elon has done. The only way we fix this is with a leader that can install in the population renewed respect for science, education and progress. That is what is truly ugly about Elon. The guy could have been truly great but he used his greatness to promote evil and put our future at grave risk.
I want the left to 1. Focus on basic incomes even if it is food stamps for all poor and low wage working class people of $200-300 per month. 2. I want a leader to come forward to make it ok to be pro-leftist ideas in corporate America and defeat the mindset set elon has built. His tech ideas are good and should be encouraged but his politics need to be defeated.

Post-industrial fractured fuedalism. The ecological crises is still omnipresent and all imposing on our planets future. Some very lucky places will manage to pull off social democratic or socialist degrowth republics that weather the next two centuries well, most will devolve into increasingly hostile oligarchies and autocracies.
I've lived degrowth my whole life, it's not bad if managed well, don't be afraid of it, keep fighting the good fight, and all may be well for most here, at least for the next few decades. If you're lucky your local polity will pull through intact and in a better form.
AI isn't what people think it is, the talking heads in silicon valley are cultists, Searl's chinese room still holds, despite the fantastical feats it's accomplished of late. AI can and will improve economic cybernetics, though it's somewhat illusory as our cybernetics have been highly efficient for decades, the problem is culturally induced resource distribution and allocation inefficiencies. The elite, should AI tell them to change their priorities, genuinely will just ignore it, and likely retrain it to not do so anymore.
Technological advances genuinely will accelerate, largely due to widespread application of AI and primarily in research. This won't change the hard resource limits and misallocated priorities of society that the ecosystem is imposing on humanity globally, cybernetic advances even if fully employed cannot counteract a demand for endless growth. If by some miracle a major country builds a launch loop in the next 50-150 years and gradually moves heavy industry off world this scenario may be mitigated. Even in that future there will still be a major elastic slowdown of Earth's economy before growth returns in the 22nd century and beyond. Our economic mistakes are already in motion, they took centuries to create and will take centuries to recover from.
There will be no dark enlightenment, this scenario is ultimately a good thing. Social democratic republics are very stable, and autocracies are unstable. The autocracies will lose over the long term and the grand global empires will gradually vanish as resources to fight over become too scarce to maintain global empire. We can only hope that the technology to maintain nuclear bombs rots from oxidation before they are used. I am saddened by the ecological loss of species diversity the world will face, the human loss is also devastating as our population will likely shrink before stabilizing anywhere from a few hundred million to a few billion sometime in the 23rd century.
The most bizarre thing about the future now will be high technology mixed with low resources. The economy will contract, yet we will likely cure cancer, many other diseases and maybe even aging. FIVR might exist by the middle or end of the century. Highly bioengineered foods will be in an arms race with decreasing soil quality and poor growing conditions. Electric cars will have batteries that last 50+ years and at least some people will have almost fully functional domestic robots by the 2040s.
All and all I'd move to New Zealand if I could, even with the Earth staring down 4C by the end of my natural lifespan it will still be relatively normal there for a very very long time.
