In light of rumors currently surrounding Honda and Nissan, that's gotten me brainstorming. What other Fortune 500 corporations could have mergers and/or acquisitions of a similar scale in the near future? It's a subject that's fasciated me for a long time, but I am aware it can be a very long and complicated process involving numerous factors. One example being whether it can be mutally beneficial for the parties involved.
Anyone else care to predict what companies could undergo major M&As? If so, what market trends, economic indicators and geopolitical shifts could affect such developments? Feel free to critique and elaborate on this subject.
