The best we can hope for is for the Chinese to continue their unprecedented solar/renewable boom and selling all that to the rest of the world (see: Australia, already seeing negative prices en masse)
We are on track to at least keeping it under 2.5°C warming, which isn't great, but it's better than a catastrophic runaway effect
