Very nuanced and enlightening conversation. I'm surprised that the idea of a command style economy via AGI deployment was discussed. It does make sense, as many are starting to believe more and more that powerful A.I. will change the nature of the economy. Not sure if that would be absolute socialism or is it should even be described as such. It reminds me how in Star Trek, the way Starfleet is organized may remind one of socialism, but it's more due to necessity and logic, rather than some ideology. In the same fashion, a necessity is going to come from A.I. being ever more capable than humanity. Just like with the agricultural and industrial revolutions, it's really the technological pace of change which leads towards societal rethinking.

Aside from, I'm glad that Open AI has indeed been mostly transparent. Sam Altman reminds of how I used to perceive Elon Musk as a respectable visionary with humanity's best interest at heart. Really hope it stays that way this time.
