How we ultimately approach mind uploading will be vastly different than we imagine if we discover consciousness, rather than as an emergent property of the brain, is actually fundamental in spacetime itself.
To know is essentially the same as not knowing. The only thing that occurs is the rearrangement of atoms in your brain.
