Finished all of DS9 and am now currently into Voyager. Have to say DS9 certainly lived up to its reputation as one of the best Star Trek shows, the more interwoven story lines and character development, not to mention expanding a bit on previously established species like the Trill, Cardassians and Ferengi, was very well done.
I'd say that's one of the things that truly set it apart from TNG. TNG was the top tier Starfleet experience, while DS9 is much more about the other species and their differences to it.
Voyager seems to be more a return to the classic Trek formula, and like the previous 2 shows, also "grows the beard" right around season 3.
