Sony takes new game offline two weeks after release
2 hours ago

Sony has announced that it is pulling online shooter Concord from sale just two weeks after its launch.

The multiplayer title was released exclusively for PlayStation 5 and PC on August 23rd, but has reportedly struggled to attract players.

In a blog post on Sony's website, external, game director Ryan Ellis of developer Firewalk Studios, announced that the game would be taken offline from 6 September.

He said anyone who had bought the £40 game would receive a full refund while the team "determine the best path ahead" for its return.

Concord is a so-called hero shooter with similarities to popular titles such as Overwatch and Valorant.

Subnautica 2 (2025)

Post by Tadasuke »

Unknown Worlds has finally announced the next sequel to its popular indie survival game franchise, Subnautica, and released a teaser trailer alongside the reveal. While details are still scant, the first trailer divulges some key information about the upcoming game. For starters, and likely the biggest divergence from Subnautica and the Subnautica: Below Zero expansion, is the addition of multiplayer gameplay, supporting teams of up to four players. For now, it looks like gameplay will either be single-player or online co-op, although it's unclear whether teams will be able to mix the two, popping into four-player sessions alone or with one or two players sitting it out.

There seems to be a new upgrade mechanic that will allow players to augment the biology of their characters, which should add an extra layer of depth to the game.

Only briefly played the original but this looks great to play on a dangerous world to humanity. I will add this to my steam account later.

I'm enjoying this game (which is based on the Alien movies), although it's quite difficult. You have to follow the map VERY carefully, or the aliens will quickly find and overwhelm your squad.

There's a good storyline, plenty of side missions, with lots to see and interact with. I like the blend of cut-scenes and top-down action, which adds to the immersion.

There's also a management side, which involves looking after your squad's health, armour, weaponry, etc. and restoring the damaged stations.

Life Is Strange: Double Exposure – 2024’s most controversial sequel
Oct 28, 2024, 4:00pm

After almost a decade, Max Caulfield from the original Life Is Strange is back, in a new story with new superpowers to explore.

Life Is Strange is a peculiar series, both simultaneously beloved and maligned for its corny teenage dialogue, melodramatic plot hooks and muddy, emotive soundtracks. In Double Exposure, Max Caufield, from the first game, returns camera-in-hand to solve the mystery of her new best friend’s murder on the campus of Caledon University. A decade on from the original game, her time-rewinding powers have gone, but she discovers she has a new power: to jump between timelines, where her friend is still alive.

In the early days of the series, all the games were episodic, like old Telltale Games titles, but ever since 2021’s True Colors they’ve been sold as normal all-in-one video games – although the first two chapters of Double Exposure were available in early access, for those willing to pay extra. True Colors was around 10 hours long, and Double Exposure sits at almost double that. Although it’s hard to be sure given we spent several hours replaying a section after encountering a game-stopping bug.

That and the strange lack of marketing from publisher Square Enix should offer some warning that this is not the triumphal return that fans would’ve expected for Max. In fact, this is one of the most baffling missteps in recent gaming history, given the developers is still Deck Nine – the same studio behind both True Colors and the excellent Before The Storm.

Although the original Life Is Strange worked similarly to Telltale games like The Walking Dead, they were superior in almost every way. The branching narrative, where moral decisions dictate how the story progresses and characters react, is still second to none and as corny as the dialogue could get, the characters of Max and Chloe were well-drawn and relatable.

I've always loved the Life is Strange series and glad they are coming back to Max Caulfield. I would definitely come back to this series again when it comes out.

None of these zones have been remade as of 2024 (except some changes made in the Cataclysm expansion and with Silithus also in Legion expansion). That's why these screenshots are still relevant. You can officially play Vanilla version with WoW Classic servers which went live back in 2019. It's not without flaws, but can be fun with apt mindset.

A game is coming out called inZOI

Basically imagine the sims except third person with good graphics and other realism improvements. It feels like the 2024/2025 equivalent of FIVR and that it's where life simulation games should be at this point.
