PS5 Pro tipped for 2023 launch and 2.5x ray tracing performance boost

Fresh tips concerning a PS5 Pro launch point to a potential 2023 launch and some promising performance gains, especially when it comes to ray tracing performance.

The original PS5 continues to be tricky to obtain, but that hasn’t stopped rumours of a mid-generational revamp gaining steam. The latest of these coms from RedGamingTech.

According to the YouTuber, there is indeed a PS5 Pro in works in spite of ongoing global production struggles. What’s more, it could reach us either late 2023 or the first half of 2024.

This would mean more if it didn't feel like the PS5 came out yesterday and if people could actually buy the damn thing! At least the former is more a case of time seeming to speed up as I get older, but I wonder just how many scalpers are going to sell their stock of two PS5 Pros for $2,000

From a different box: Ubisoft works on AI tool able to animate animals in games automatically. It's not ready yet, but it will be in the future. It would reduce time needed for animators to achieve good enough results.
Global economy doubles in product every 15-20 years. Computer performance at a constant price doubles nowadays every 4 years on average. Livestock-as-food will globally stop being a thing by ~2050 (precision fermentation and more). Human stupidity, pride and depravity are the biggest problems of our world.

That's it. I'm done with Elite.

I recently considered reinstalling it. But there's just no doubt anymore: the game is dying now.

So much wasted potential.
