/\ Now, consider the real life saltwater crocodile and their confirmed growth of around 21ft long. Took me a while to find a photo that wasn't distorting the perspective. Humans for scale close to the camera and far away.

gaming market total worth of all real-money transactions

Post by Tadasuke »

Some estimates, by some sources, put the total global gaming market sales at 33 billion USD in 2010 and 10x more than that in 2027 (so about 330 billion USD). We are now at around 200 billion USD (all digital and physical sales).

I personally, in the last 6 years, have bought only PC games and all of them digitally, because I have enough physical games released between 1995 (Warcraft II) and 2015 (Witcher III). I own console and handheld games from the 2000s and early 2010s.
Global economy doubles in product every 15-20 years. Computer performance at a constant price doubles nowadays every 4 years on average. Livestock-as-food will globally stop being a thing by ~2050 (precision fermentation and more). Human stupidity, pride and depravity are the biggest problems of our world.
