Unbelievable

This seems very overblown (in true American style). I remember when the Americans, along with their European vassals, claimed to have "annihilated" the Russian economy with their sanctions, only for the precise opposite to happen. Somehow, I'm rather sceptical that China is now permanently unable to produce semiconductors just because Americans working there have resigned and no exports will be coming directly from the US. It's not like they don't have the technical capabilities and capital to continue, and in any case they have enough more than enough espionage networking within the US to get whatever they need through more roundabout means.
