I learned many years back that most people think only in terms of memes and pop cultural references. Reddit actively rewards it.

Well, I'm relatively sure that many of them are actually unironically bots. So that makes sense.

Most Redditors only think in terms of memes and pop cultural references. And even then that only happens in the most "official" subreddits.
