It blows the mind as probably 2/3rds of all progress in this country is made in the lab in universities and this directly benefits these tech billionaires and the private sector. Progress is very much tied to government investment and this also means the investment into the education of our youth.
But I guess it comes down to short term power over long term benefit for society.
