Also, everyone in this is photo is now dead, all claimed by old age. Kind of a somber thought, but one I know I've mentioned before, that there was a time when there was absolutely zero expectation of life extension or life expectancy lengthening. You just totally accepted that death was utterly certain. This modern sensibility that we might actually cure aging, that there's a nonzero chance that someone born either within the past 30 years or within the next 30 will live to be 200 years old and still healthy and that you can completely take this prediction seriously and discuss it without being laughed at, is an impossibly unlikely fluke of history that just so happened to come true here and now.
