Are you keeping a spreadsheet? I found it really helpful during my weight loss progress. Also, avoiding high-calorie foods is crucial. I hardly eat any cakes or chocolates these days.Ozzie guy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 1:32 am I have lost 2.8 Kilos in 50 days my target was 50 grams a day so I have surpassed my target by 300 grams (target by now is 2.5 kilos).
Right now my BMI is 34, 30 is considered obese. I think I have to maintain this 50 gram a day weight loss for 2 years and a bit to be ideal weight.
I am mostly happy that I have lost weight at a consistent rate long enough to suggest I have and am close to forming habits which will automatically keep this weight loss going.

Re: Personal chat thread
Yes I weigh myself daily and put it in an excel spreadsheet. Excel automatically has a number counter on the side which I use for days. I have a column next to actual weight for target weight which I reduce by 50 grams a day.
Yeah I think when I get fast food my weight goes up by hundreds of grams. As I am obese I naturally loose weight fast so I can get by loosing weight whist eating a bit of junk. As my weight drops and I naturally loose less weight I will be forced to further and further clean up my diet to keep up with 50 grams weight loss a day.

Are you doing exercise? I heard/read it's the most or one of the most important ways to lose weight.Ozzie guy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 1:13 pm Yeah I think when I get fast food my weight goes up by hundreds of grams. I go for a 30 minute walk most days for basic heart health but yeah I am not really doing more than the bare minimum. Exercise makes you loose weight and Muscle mass does make you naturally loose weight faster.ººº wrote: ↑Mon Sep 26, 2022 1:54 pmAre you doing exercise? Update:- Within a few hours of me putting my extra clothes on Vinted 6 of my items have sold.Time_Traveller wrote: ↑Sun Sep 25, 2022 5:07 pm Just before I redecorate my room within the next few months, I've decided to reduce my items I have within my room by becoming a minimalist. I am starting tomorrow by getting rid of my DVDs minus my boxsets (Major ones are Doctor Who, NCIS, The Simpsons and Star Trek) plus lots of clothing which I am minimalising to 5 or 6 pairs of t-shirts and hoodies etc and putting them on Vinted and giving them to charity shops.

I seem to be the only person in London still wearing a mask. Even though cases are rising rapidly again.

To be honest, I don't care anymore. I have spent 2 years reading about Covid and of course following all the guidelines and getting all the vaccines. But now, it's enough. I'm 48 years old, not old enough for a 4. vaccine. So let me be infected. Fine, I will deal with it. I take vitamin-D supplements, which might avoid me getting hospitalized and getting long-Covid.
Re: Personal chat thread
Currently suffering the worst toothache I've ever had. I've already seen a dentist and have two further appointments, in which I'll have multiple fillings and other work done. The next one isn't until Friday morning, so I'm in pain until then (only slightly reduced with ibuprofen).
Total cost including the initial consultation will be £766.
I made the mistake of avoiding the dentist for 10+ years, and this is the end result. I won't be making that mistake again and will go every six months from now on.

Re: Personal chat thread
As i am trying to find alternatives to Twitter, today i found a new social media website from Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia. Which i hope Will enjoys too as an alternatives to either FB/Twitter or both. This is my page on there. https://wt.social/u/dean-eaketts

Re: Personal chat thread
So what solutions have you found for toothache?
Re: Personal chat thread
Fillings.
Ibuprofen helped ease the pain.
Going forward, I've now started flossing every day.
I tried flossing a few years back, but found it really uncomfortable and difficult, so stopped. But I found these handle flossers which are 100 times easier than just using a thread with your fingers, so I'm using those now.
An added benefit: you can apparently add 6 years to your lifespan by flossing! So I will definitely continue with that. Plus, brushing twice daily and using mouthwash as I've always done, and cutting down on sugary foods/drinks.

I have been using these too as i currently have to see the hygienist as i wasn't brushing my teeth properly for the last year and a half. They did tell me to use something else but i prefer them.wjfox wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 12:32 pmFillings.Of which I had four. Re: Personal chat thread
As from tomorrow, i am going to start reading again and get them out from under my bed. I will be reading instead of watching television in the evenings and days after and not at work by putting them on the Bookwyrm site by reviewing them.

Thanks guys, if it helps me (the pain hasn't stopped for the whole week), I'll be the most thankful.
