For September 18, 2025 Real Clear Politics reported on four polls on Trump’s approval rating. They ranged from a net approval rating of seven percent (Rasmussen Reports) to a net disapproval rating of 21 percent (AP/NOPC). This is a difference of twenty eight percent. That is a rather astonishing level of disagreement.

Rasmussen Reports now show a net disapproval rating of 2% (48% approve to 50% disapprove). At the other end of the spectrum, Reuters/Ipsos shows a net disapproval rating of 17% (41% approve to 58% disapprove). Less of a spread (though still dramatic) and more of a consensus that Trump is underwater.
