I see the potential of this. Imagine future games where you interact with NPCs with this kind of realism.

To know is essentially the same as not knowing. The only thing that occurs is the rearrangement of atoms in your brain.

Munich Regional Court stops Suno using GEMA-protected music

https://www.juve-patent.com/cases/munic ... ted-music/

TLDR Suno's overfitting on existing music and reproducing it in its outputs, which would also be forbidden for humans. Rare good lawsuit imo
For copying that occurred during training in the US, the court stated that US copyright law applies. The court found that the copies and outputs were not protected by the US fair use doctrine. It distinguished this case from the Bartz and Kadrey decisions in the US, where courts found AI training to be fair use largely because the original training materials were not reproduced for users in the outputs. By contrast, in the GEMA against Suno case simple prompts led to outputs that were substantially similar to the original musical works.

Honestly, such should be something people should be able to do for personal fun and not added to the general map used for all. Any image sent for general use should be approved by google with confirmation that it is real.

There is the watermark and SynthID already, afaik.

I feel like the main problem is people being gullible and not checking their facts.

It's amazing how out of touch the techbro elite are that they apparently didn't think this through even remotely.
I'd absolutely love an AI-generated maps ripoff for shitposts, but as the actual product?
How did they not realize this would happen? Did someone get told "Google Maps + AI = massive engagement" while chucking down their $70 latté and they mandated it be a thing?

Like, using Maps for location training, I can understand. But this is that in reverse and on the internet. You were just asking for trouble.
And remember my friend, future events such as these will affect you in the future

It was on Earth, not Maps. People who wanted it had to specifically navigate to Earth, which is much less used than Maps.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day Ignites Backlash For AI Usage With Peter Parker's NYC Art

https://thedirect.com/article/spider-ma ... oncept-art

To me, the issue is not the use but rather the fact that it made it into an artbook without the compilers realizing.

Also absurd is the usual belief among creatives that nothing created by AI is original because it is based on existing things, as if humans somehow create beautiful ex nihilo creations.
