Tucker Carlson Says Trump Should Be Removed From Office ‘Immediately’ Over Nuclear Posture

Introduction:

(Mediatie) Tucker Carlson said Friday that President Donald Trump should be removed from office “immediately” if he is actively considering the first use of nuclear weapons, arguing that such a move should represent an absolute “red line” for any president.

Carlson made the declaration during a lengthy discussion with Joe Kent, the former director of the National Counterterrorism Center who quit earlier this year in protest of the Iran war.

Emphasizing that while he was “strongly opposed” to the first two impeachments of Trump, Carlson continued, “The second any president actively considers first use of nuclear weapons, that person should be removed from office immediately, because that’s got to be the red line, destroying all of humanity with a nuclear strike.”

Carlson then questioned why there was not already an effort underway to oust Trump over the matter.
“Why isn’t there an attempt to remove him from office, like, immediately?” he asked. “Anyone who would even tolerate that kind of talk from any of his subordinates or employees is by definition unfit.”

caltrek’s comment: Corroborating evidence that I could find that Trump is considering the first use of nuclear weapons were accusation from former Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene. She has apparently not provided “any evidence to substantiate her claims.”

In April of this year there were fears that such an option was being considered. These fears were based on extremist rhetoric Trump was using. The Union of Concerned Scientists did express concern at that time: [url| https://www.ucs.org/about/news/congress ... r-weapons/

Of course, if you remove Trump from office for his irresponsible attitude toward nuclear weapons, you need to consider who would be his replacement:

Introduction:

(Canary) US Vice President JD Vance has stated in an interview that he is committed to doing “God’s work”, before adding that if that work leads to the “end times”, that would be “okay” by him.

Given his proximity to the US nuclear arsenal, such a blasé assertion is deeply alarming — particularly when considered alongside his emphatic support for the Israeli government and its devastating genocide in Palestine.

JD Vance presents himself as a devout Catholic and regularly invokes his faith when defending his political positions. Yet both the late Pope Francis and Pope Leo XIV have heavily criticised the Trump administration on the Iran war, migration, human dignity and the treatment of vulnerable people in the US.

This contradiction is difficult to ignore. A faith that places such profound emphasis on the sanctity of human life should never be reduced to a cynical political tool for justifying cruelty, collective punishment and a complete disregard for civilian life.

And when someone in a position so close to the levers of US military power appears willing to accept the possibility of an “end times” as the inherent price of pursuing his political and ideological goals, the consequences are not merely theological or rhetorical.
