2022 – Exascale computers are deployed

2027 – New Zealand's first "smoke-free" generation
From 2027 onwards, the minimum age for buying tobacco in New Zealand is progressively lifted, by one year every year, starting with 18-year-olds. This prevents, for example, a person turning 42 in 2050 from ever buying cigarettes, while a person aged 43 or older is allowed to do so.
