Asteroid mining company to be unveiled? April 22, 2012A group of billionaires, together with former NASA scientists, have announced Planetary Resources, Inc., rumoured to be the first asteroid mining company in history. They claim it will “add trillions of dollars to global GDP” and “help ensure humanity’s prosperity”. The company is backed by Google’s Larry Page and Eric Schmidt, James Cameron, Charles Simonyi and other big names. It will be officially unveiled at a conference call on Tuesday 24th April.
