Three-person babies possible by 2016

Scientists in the UK are backing three-way fertilization, a new process that could prevent the passing of devastating genetic disorders. This technique – using eggs from two women and one man's sperm – could be available within two years. Similar methods could emerge by the 2050s allowing parents to create perfect "designer babies".
