Singularity University interview with Peter Diamandis

In this video, Peter Diamandis, co-founder of the Singularity University, talks about the recent breakthroughs in AI and provides his updated predictions regarding exponential technologies.

Singularity University is a global learning and innovation community founded in 2008 by Peter Diamandis and Ray Kurzweil, with the goal of preparing leaders and organisations for the rapidly accelerating changes and challenges of the 21st century.

Its faculty includes leading experts in science, technology, and entrepreneurship, and the organisation has established partnerships with some of the world's top academic institutions, such as NASA, Google, and the X Prize Foundation.

Singularity University's mission is to inspire and empower a global community of innovators to use technology to solve the world's most pressing challenges – including poverty, hunger, and disease. The organisation believes that by harnessing the power of exponential technologies, humanity can achieve a more abundant and sustainable future for all. To date, it has trained thousands of individuals from over 120 countries, including entrepreneurs, executives, and government leaders.

The Feedback Loop is a podcast series by Singularity University, featuring interviews with prominent researchers and industry figures, who discuss topics such as AI, biotech, gene editing, quantum computers, and other advances. To celebrate the 100th episode, Singularity University has interviewed one of its co-founders, Peter Diamandis himself.

In this video, Peter updates his ideas around the Singularity – looking at what predictions have come true, which have changed, what has been surprising and what we can expect. More specifically, he focuses on artificial intelligence, its sudden leap into mainstream culture via large language models like GPT, and what future is most likely from upcoming AI advancements.
