11th October 2018 Boston Dynamics reveals "Parkour Atlas" Boston Dynamics has demonstrated the latest version of its Atlas robot, which is now able to do parkour. The control software now uses the whole body including legs, arms and torso, to marshal the energy and strength needed for jumping over a log and then leaping up steps without breaking its pace (the height of each step is 40 cm). Atlas uses computer vision to locate itself with respect to visible markers on the approach to hit the terrain accurately. Comments »
